Introduction to Music Transcription

Musical transcript refers to the analysis of the sound music signal for the recording in this area, the start time, duration, and source of each sound produced. In the Western tradition, written music uses note symbols to identify these parameters in music. Keeping the details aside, the important conventions are that time flows from left to right and the note field shows the staff's vertical position. In the case of drums and percussion, the vertical position indicates the type of device and the beat. Volume (and the device used in the adjusted device) is typically not intended for individual notes, but rather for larger sections.
